| Estate's description | Château Léoville Las Cases : This château is undoubtedly the most regular of all the “Léoville”. The 97 hectares are cultivated with the greatest attention and a constant perfection’s view. They do not hesitate to downgrade unsatisfactory’s cuve, even in very great years. Quality speaking, it is often equal to a premier cru, at a much more affordable price. The eldest son of the Marquis de Las Cases inherited of one part of the domaine Léoville, which is the current Château Léoville Las Cases. The château is now owned by Jean-Hubert Delon and his sister Geneviève d’Aton. Largest area of Léoville, it is nearby the château Latour. The door of the Château Léoville Las Cases is on the bottle’s label. This second grand cru classé (at the 1855’s classification) also produces a second wine, the Clos du Marquis, coming from the youngest vines of the estate. |
