Estate's description Formerly, the château Branaire was a piece of the estate of Beychevelle. Then in 1680, Jean-Baptiste Braneyre bought the estate and bequeathed to his grandchildren, The Du Luc, hence the name of château Branaire (Duluc) Ducru. The second wine is also called “Duluc de Branaire-Ducru”. The castle, located in Saint -Julien-Beychevelle, has been brilliantly administered by Patrick Maroteaux since 1988. The estate produces wines of a great finesse and velvety from cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc. In 1855, the castle was lucky enough to be recognized as the fourth growth.
