Jura
Our selection of Jura wines : The vineyard is located in front of Burgundy on the other side of the Saône’s valley. Located on the plateau of Jura, between 240 and 400m above the sea’s level, it covers 1883 hectares and produced approximately 115 000hl per year. You will find, there, red wines made from Pinot Noir, Poulsard and Trousseau, and white wines made from chardonnay. The Jura also produces very specific wines, such as the the “vin Jaune” and the “vin de paille”. The “vin Jaune” comes exclusively from Savagni, it has a taste of walnuts, hazelnuts and almonds. The “Vin de Paille” comes from dried grapes and is very similar to a Sauternes.
