| Estate's description | Pavillon Rouge du château Margaux : A fruity wine, elegant and powerful… The second wine of Château Margaux already existed during the nineteenth century, but it took its current name in 1908. It "reborn" in 1978, thanks to André Mentzelopoulos. Indeed, it has not been produced between 1930 and 1970. It is made from the unassembled wines of the Grand Vin. However, it benefits from the same winemaking techniques that the first wine of Château Margaux, but is bottled earlier than its elder. Its fast bottle’s evolution, make it accessible younger than the grand cru classé ... To optimize the quality and the selection of the Pavillon Rouge du Château Margaux, a third wine now exists. It is only sold to Bordeaux traders. A white wine, the Pavillon Blanc du château Margaux, is also produced at the castle. |
