Château La Tour Blanche

Château La Tour Blanche : To discover absolutely… The origins of this premier cru classé of Sauternes go back to the eighteenth century. But it is, at the beginning of the twentieth century, that its original owner, Daniel Iffla, nicknamed Osiris, had developed the château. Without heir, he bequeathed at his death, his property to the French State.

In return, the state has established a viticulture and wine making school on the field, in 1911. The school was called The School of Viticulture and Enology La Tour Blanche. The wines of the château are developed from sémillon, sauvignon and muscadelle. The harvests are hand-made. Quality is the watchword of Château La Tour Blanche. The vintages 1992, 1993 and 2000 do not exist, as the quality was deemed insufficient.
