Two wines of the brand are produced exclusively from chardonnay, the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs and Dom Ruinart. The vintage Dom Ruinart is the prestigious cuvée of the brand; it shows the ultimate expression of chardonnay. This wine is made from chardonnay, which comes from exclusively of vines, based in the Côte des Blancs and the mountains of Reims. The Cuvée Dom Ruinart was created in 1959 to pay tribute to Dom Ruinart, who has inspired the brand. The brand was acquired in 1963 by Moët & Chandon. It is, however, today belonging to the luxury group LVMH, which has bought Moët & Chandon champagnes.
