It is a tribute to the most faithful and the best lover of the Champagnes Pol Roger, since its first sip in 1908. (Only 10 vintages of this wine have been launched since its creation). The vineyard has also been developed during the following years. To maintain its world position, the brand expanded its offices and put in place new steel barrels in the early twenty-first century. Today the vineyard has about 90 hectares. This is not enough grapes for the needs of Pol Roger. To full fill its needs in grapes, the brand is also purchasing grapes from winemakers, who are selected very carefully. Thanks to these vineyards on the slopes of Epernay, especially on the “côte des Blancs”, in Mareuil and Ambonnay, Pol Roger develops champagnes full of subtlety and elegance.
