Estate's description This grand cru classé of Saint-Emilion had belonged to the Ligneris since the early nineteenth century. It is now the property of ‘La Mondiale’. The Château Soutard covers about 22 hectares and is one of the oldest Château of the town of Saint-Emilion. It offers very classic Saint-Emilion’s wines, with a great preserving potential (20 to 25 years on average). It can take a decade to make it offer all its flavors. The Château Soutard also produces a second wine, ‘Les Jardins de Soutard’, known as ‘Clos de la Tonelle’ until 2006.
