Estate's description During the fourteenth century, the noble House of Bosq decided to exploit this exceptional site. Then, George Smith, a Scottish, bought the field and added his name to the name of the château. He developed the export of his wine to Great Britain. During the nineteenth century, Mr Duffour-Dubergier gave it, its letters of nobility. Since 1990, Daniel Cathiard has been at the head of the château Smith-Haut-Lafitte, and he has been able to exploit its full potential. This “cru classé” of Graves (in 1953), in red, proposes a white Pessac-Léognan, which should, without any doubt, return to this famous classification.
