| Estate's description | A wine to follow… Constituted of a unique 11 hectares field, Château Petit Village may get its name from the huge farm and all its dependencies, which form a small village (“petit village”). The Château is today the property of AXA Millésimes. Many investments were done in order to use the soil’s potential. For a short time, Château Petit Village is advised by Olivier Derenoncourt. The Château has an extraordinary potential, mainly from its soil and location. Located on the high Pomerol sheft of small rocks – called “graves”, its soil allows him to add to cabernet sauvignon varietal to the two mains varietal of Bordeaux, merlot and cabernet franc. This original assembly for a Pomerol produces a unique wine with complex and spicy savors and a long conserving potential. Château Petit Village also produces a second vin, “Le Jardin de Petit Village”. Château Petit Village is a rising star from the Pomerol appellation with a reputation that will certainly increase in the following years… |
