| Estate's description | Château de Rayne Vigneau :
A great classic… Located in Bommes, this château was known, in the nineteenth century, to be the second Sauternes, just after the famous Yquem. In fact, it enjoys a unique geographical position. It takes its name from the Noble Etienne de Vigneau, who owned the vineyard in the seventeenth century. The vineyard is now composed of 80 hectares planted in sémillon, sauvignon and muscadelle. The wines are aged in oak barrels for 18 to 24 months. The Château de Rayne Vigneau proposes a second wine: Madame de Rayne, and a dry white wine: ‘le second de Rayne Vigneau’. |
