Etienne Sauzet

Etienne Sauzet:The history of the domaine Etienne Sauzet started in 1903 with the birth of Etienne Sauzet. Thanks to an inheritance of some hectares of vines, he created his own exploitation. Different acquisitions would carry the Domaine to a 12 hectares surface in the 1950s. When he died, his granddaughter Jeanine and her husband, Gérard Boudot, would take back the leading of the Domaine. Following an inheritance distribution, the domaine decreased in 1991 to get back to its initial size of 9 hectares. In order to compensate this lack, grapes purchases are done by a selection of winemakers. Since 2000, the grand-granddaughter of Etienne Sauzet and her husband have joined the Domaine’s team. Situated in the famous village of Puligny-Montrachet, the Domaine proposes Grands Crus: Montrachet, Chevalier-Montrachet, Bâtard-Montrachet and Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet; also some Premiers Crus and other wines with the appellations village or regional AOCs. The reasoned agriculture with an organic trend is done by the Domaine, this in order to respect and let the soils express themselves. Great wines of character, combining fineness and elegance…
