Domaine Jean Jacques Confuron

Situated in Premeaux-Prissé, next to Nuits-Saint-Georges, the domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron belonged formerly to Sophie Meunier’s father. In 1988, she decided to take over the domain, with the help of her husband, Alain. Even if he knew few about vines, he decided to get winemaking lessons in Beaune. It’s at this time, following to a lecture of Claude Bourguignon, that he decided to do organic agriculture on the domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron. The domain extends today on 8 hectares and has 12 AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée, Controlled Appelation of Origin) of the Côte de Nuits including the famous Vosne-Romanée Premier Cru, Clos de Vougeot or Romanée Saint-Vivant Grands Crus. Since 2003 horses have been back in the parcel of Chambolle Musigny Premier Cru where ploughing demands now patience and accuracy. A Chambolle-Musigny from Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron will flat you with its intense fruits aromas.
