Burgundy

Our selection of Burgundy fine wines : The Burgundy, a puzzle of great vineyards with famous wines. The Burgundy is certainly one of the most complex wines’ areas in the world. The variety of wines, the fragmentation of the names and the differences of climate make of this region a real headache. The Burgundy area includes 6 vineyards (Chablis, Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise, Maconnais and Beaujolais) and it covers 4 departments (Yonne, Côte d'Or, Saône - et-Loire and Rhône). This region extends from Auxerre to Villefranche-sur-Saône. It includes the cities of Dijon, Beaune, Chalon and Mâcon and many others. The vineyard of Burgundy is about 47 000 hectares big. A favorable climate and a relatively high latitude for a wines’ region, could have been two factors unfavorable for the production of exceptional wines. However, a perfect match between vines, natural conditions and a diverse geological structure, allow Burgundy to produce wines of excellence.
