The vineyard of Vieux Château Certan is certainly one of the oldest of Pomerol. It was probably founded during the sixteenth century. (...) actual owner of the field, bought the Vieux Chateau Certan during the XXth century. Thanks to its excellent location, it enjoys one of the best Pomerols’ lands. Composed of 60% merlot, of 30% cabernet franc and of 10% cabernet sauvignon, its wines have a complexity and a unique character within the appellation, which give them a special dimension. The 14 hectares of the area also produce a second wine, La Gravette de Certan.
