Château Camensac

Camensac

The 75 hectares of the château Camensac are ideally located, on a ground made of “graves”, near from the appellation Saint-Julien, in Saint Laurent en Médoc. The château has an exceptional soil, which has been for a long time not used at its own value. Since 2005, the family Merlaut (owner of the group Taillan, including the château Citran, Gruaud Larose, Haut-Bages Libéral and Chasse Spleen) has bought the domain and a wind of change has blown on the château Camensac The wines produced at the castle have increased in quality and accuracy. It is the team of château Chasse Spleen, which is responsible of winemaking and farming the vines of the château, made of cabernet sauvignon and merlot. Besides the great wine of the château, classified as 5th grand cru in 1855, the château Camensac produces a second wine, La Closerie of Camensac.
