The origin of the name is not sure, however, this Château has been named by its founder, Jean Cantenat. Since the arrival of Alain Vauthier, co-director and estate’s owner since 1997, Château Ausone has regained all its nobility. With care and a very high demand, he allows the Château Ausone’s wines to offer a strong tannic structure, combining with finesse, balance, richness and elegance.
